The previous episode ofBlackness Lightning fix the last episode of the season perfectly. First, Jennifer's ex-boyfriend Khalil is back. Tobias made good on his promise to get Khalil the utilize of his legs back. On top of that, he was bigger and at present has super strength. Black Lightning begins with one heck of a downer. It starts with a flashback of Jefferson and his dad. Jefferson's dad is meeting with Giambi who is upset that Jefferson'south father blew the whistle on the experiments. He tells Giambi that he's content with what he did and that he did it for his son. Later on that, we're brought to Jefferson's begetter's funeral. Afterwards that, a immature Jefferson is being chased by cops and uses his powers to fight them off. Giambi fines him in the streets and that'south when he commencement finds out Jefferson has powers. Jefferson escapes and touches an electric fence and is knocked out. Thankfully, he's found by Giambi.

Also, the writers made it a signal to show how much of a racist Proctor was. The, "Don't tell me your people aren't used to these" referring to the handcuffs and the, "Let'due south make America bang-up again" speech was showing exactly where Proctor stood. Granted, the fact that all his test subjects were black was a giveaway. Besides, the way they told Syonide'south origin story makes information technology difficult to non experience for her.
